Safeguarding the health and safety of all who work for the company or are affected by the company’s activities is always our top priority. We believe that by effectively managing health and safety within our operations that this will contribute towards the efficient delivery of the projects we are involved in.

Accreditation to OHSAS 18001:2007 and UVDB Verify Achilles together with our fifth consecutive Gold RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Award bears testimony to the hard work put in by our employees in managing health and safety and to our drive for continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention.

Taking a proactive approach to health and safety is an important part of our culture. It means we are constantly looking for new ways to develop our systems and processes so we can improve our health and safety performance.

2011 saw the introduction of the Spiecapag UK Safety Golden Rules to provide consistent, straightforward and practical rules that are aimed at eliminating unsafe behaviour in potential high-risk situations, such as working at height, operating mobile plant and carrying out excavation work.
